Act of Law

Section 0
This act of law of Hokoria is enforceable by the Central Government of Hokoria, as per the Declaration of Independence.
Section 1
Every individual has the right to life and should be recognised as an individual.
Section 2
Every individual should be treat humanely and should never be exposed to torture or any inhumane treatment.
Section 3
Every individual should be free from slavery and should never be subjected to labour that is forced upon them through harm, threat of harm or other forms of abuse and blackmail.
Section 4
Every individual should have freedom to make their own decisions about themselves. They should be protected from harm and danger.
Section 5
Every individual has the right to have a fair trial as per the Act of the Courts.
Section 6
Individuals should never be detained, charged or punished for an offence that was not a crime at the time that it was committed.
Section 7
Every individual should have personal privacy that they can control, extending to the privacy of their home and their family.
Section 8
Every individual has the right to have their own thoughts and beliefs, extending to religious and political beliefs and opinions.
Section 9
Every individual has the right to privately express their thoughts and opinions.
Section 10
Every individual has the right to protest in a peaceful and non-violent manner.
Section 11
If a Member of Government acts in a way that is not to protect Hokoria and the Constitution of Hokoria, this may result in the detention and prosecution of the individual that made the action. This is defined as ‘unlawful use of authority’.
Section 12
Every individual has the right to be protected from facing discrimination and unjust treatment for their race, religion, sexual orientation, gender identity and disability.
Section 13
Every individual has the right to access services that provide education.
Section 14
Every citizen has the right to participate in democratic processes.
Section 15
When a ‘state of emergency’ is declared under Section 3 of the Act of National Security, the Central Government of Hokoria is not subject to this Act of Humanity.
