Money and taxes are a key part of any functioning nation. The Royal Government of Hokoria intends to use taxes in order to fund public services and development within the nation.
Currency
There is no legal, specified currency within the nation. This means that individuals are free to engage with the Royal Government of Hokoria, and each other, in any currency that they wish to. The Department of the Interior and the Department of Exterior Affairs are working towards the nation joining the Global Oceanic Cooperation Organisation’s ‘Hydro Zone’, and plans to adopt the Hydro as the nation’s formal currency. The Euro (EUR) has been used as a currency in government spending reports.
Taxes
The Department of the Interior currently plans to introduce an income tax on businesses and individuals. At this time, it is not known how much this tax will be.
Government spending
His Majesty’s Royal Office maintains Government spending reports which are typically released on a quarterly basis.
