The Royal Government of Hokoria has designated specific days to act as official holidays across the State of Hokoria. Whilst provisions for official holidays are not made through any specific law or order, the Government, public bodies and any organisations are not expected to function at usual capacity on these days.
Day of the New Year (1st January)
The Day of the New Year (commonly known as New Year’s Day) is the national celebration of the first day of the year as according to the Gregorian calendar.
Day of Foundation (11th March)
The Day of Foundation celebrates the day that the State of Hokoria was founded as a nation, on the 11th March 2023.
Day of Aaron I (22nd March)
The Day of Aaron I is the celebration of the King’s birthday. The tradition of the Head of the State’s birthday being a holiday has taken place since foundation.
Day of Independence (31st March)

Day of the Fish (1st April)
The Day of the Fish, known commonly as April Fools’ Day, is the celebration of foolery, satire and overall fun.
Day of the Earth (22nd April)
The Day of the Earth, known commonly as Earth Day, is the celebration of the planet.
Day of Angry Swans (30th May)
The Day of Angry Swans has been a holiday since 2023.
