Hokorian Assembly announces Chancellor election of July 2024

Following a motion filed by the Chair of the Hokorian Assembly that was passed with 6 votes in favour out of 6 available votes, the Hokorian Assembly can declare that a Chancellor election will take place.

This announcement will act as the start of a registration period, where candidates may register to run within the Chancellor election of July 2024 to be elected as Their Majesty’s Chancellor and as a Member of the Hokorian Assembly.

On the 5th July 2024, the election schedule is as follows:

  • 5th July 2024 – Chancellor election is announced and registration opens
  • 12th July 2024 – Registration closes
  • 13th July 2024 – Voting begins
  • 19th July 2024 – Voting ends and results released

Under the Act of Democratic Reform (2023), any individual with local citizen status or international citizen status may register as a candidate in Chancellor elections. Similarly, any individual with local citizen status or international citizen status may submit their ballot in a Chancellor election. Candidates may vote in a Chancellor election, including for themselves.

The Royal Government of Hokoria’s website will have the candidate registration form at https://govhok.uk/register-as-a-candidate between the 5th July 2024 and the 13th July 2024.
